  • DeltaPAT Complete is a battery operated and wireless system as all the accessories connect via Bluetooth. Great for portability and very user-friendly.
  • TNP500 combines all the accessories you’ll need for a professional test, tag and print system in one hard body case. It’s less portable, but all the accessories are included.
  • Seaward Elite Kit includes all the major benefits of the previous kits. The PAT tester itself is one of the most advanced available.

Metrel DeltaPAT Complete:

The DeltaPAT Complete Kit is the ultimate printing solution that includes the ever-popular DeltaPAT 3309 BT tester. It also includes a Zebra TLP2824 Printer and a licence for the PATLink Android Application. All these accessories will connect via Bluetooth, but you will need to purchase an Android device in order the use the PATLink application. The application will then allow you to use the Android device as a remote control to run tests, scan barcodes and access your database of information.

Wavecom TNP-500:

The TNP500 is a step up from the Complete Kit in terms of functionality, but a step down in terms of portability. This kit includes the Gen 4 TNP Tester, barcode scanner, thermal printer and keyboard all in one hard body carry case.  You will easily be able to print labels on the spot and scan items for re-testing. You can then upload your data straight to the computer, and manage it with the WinPATS software. This kit is designed for high volume testing and tagging, but the only downside is that it does require mains connection. There is a battery-powered model, the TNP 500B, available at an extra cost.

Seaward Elite Kit:

This unit, sometimes called the ProTag Elite Kit, is one of the most advanced systems available on the Australian market. All the accessories can be connected via Bluetooth and come supplied in a custom carry backpack. The Primetest Elite tester is battery operated, can test RCDs, contains a built in camera with flash, HD colour display and has a memory storage of up to 50,000 test results. This kit also includes a 2D Bluetooth Scanner (which will scan both QR and barcodes) as well as the Zebra ZQ520 tag printer which will print your labels on the spot. The unit also includes PATGuard Elite 3 software for data management.

So what should you choose?

All these units will perform the required tests to meet the relevant Australian standards, and they will all also perform RCD testing which is an added bonus. All three units have printing and scanning capabilities, but at different levels.

  • The Complete Kit is battery powered and will enable you to scan items and print tags on the spot, but you will have to purchase an Android device separately to use all the features of this kit.
  • The TNP500 includes all the accessories you will need to test, print and scan built in to one convenient carry case. But it does require mains power so maybe a less portable solution.
  • The ProTag Elite system is designed to streamline the entire test and tag process and combines all the best features of both the previous models, but it is one of the most expensive units on the market.
